Taking attendance in Google Classroom interactive session in Google Meet is very easy;
Open Chrome, click new tab and click Extensions to access Chrome web store.
2. Install Meet Attendance.
3. Upon starting a Google Meet session the extension would be activated by default.
4. Attendance would be taken automatically whenever a participant enters the session.
5. Meet Attendance menu can be accessed by clicking the People tab in Google Meet and hover the mouse over the Attendance tab.
6. Click on the new spread sheet icon once to create the attendance sheet for the Meet session.
7. Toggle the Meet Attendance switch ON and OFF to take and start the automated attendance for the session.
8. You can access the attendance any time by clicking the Attendance tab .
9. The sheet is saved in you respective Google Drive. You may optionally change the filename by adding a prefix (like the class name) to uniquely identify the file.
10 Note: Please create a new file/spread sheet as listed above in steps 6 & 7.
